Magazine advert analysis

Drake- Take Care:

The magazine advert for Drake's album "Take Care" features the same main picture that is on the album cover. It also features the name of the artist right at the top in a big font to make it stand out. The main image of Drake as well as his name stands out immediately to anyone looking at this advert. The text underneath tells us when the album comes out generating hype amongst his fans. Underneath that it tells his fans some of the songs that will feature on this new album to also generate hype.

Plan B- The Defamation of Strickland Banks:

The advert for Plan B's album featured a shot of the main artist himself with his name above him. This layout is very similar to Drake's advert and it seems like a universal way to advertise an album. The album name is just underneath the artists name too. Underneath this it features ratings given to the album by newspapers and websites, showing off how good it is to fans that may be unsure on whether or not to buy it. In the bottom left corner there is also a picture of the album cover so that fans know what to look for when the actual album comes out.
